Dear Dr. Friedman:

\JYes, a few crackpots like me still exist. In fact I'm attempting to
swell the ranks. Super LISP is a current manuscript which I am finally
getting around to finishing.  The manuscript will be produced as course
notes next semester and  I will send you a copy if I can. The
course is offered at San Jose State University and with typical
state short-sightedness they're only printing a limited number.
SJSU is a transplanted state college, so its department is very, very
weak. The course description is the typical  god-damned %"$#-ing ACM
data structures  course; the students don't know that they're about to 
be LISP-ed. It should be interesting. Seriously, I \F2do\F1 believe
that this approach is the  best way to introduce the whole spectrum of
modern Computer Science; particularly in such a weak department.

By the way, I'm searching for publishers; got any hot tips? The
typical comment so far is "What is the market for LISP books?"
Then I start my song-and-dance routine. It's time to start
some missionary work among the unwashed and uninitiated masses.
